Care for Red

Two days after colouring my hair red, the colour still runs. Am not sure if it’s my shampoos that are causing the colour run.

I decided to try Klorane’s shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair. It lathered well.Ā  I also didn’t see much red on the run when I rinsed off the shampoo nor conditioner.

Let’s see how the hair colour looks a week from today…!

Funky Nail Failed

While watching TV, I decided to do my nails at the same time. (It was an Ashton Kutcher flick, i can easily follow the plot.) I played around with an assortment of nail colours. It was good except for uneven painting, jagged edges and one obvious smudge. Oh well. Who’d noticed, right?

The colours are:
Sally Hansen Nude Now on thumbs and pinkies;
Essie She’s Picture Perfect on index fingers;
Essie Pilates Hottie on middle fingers; and
Essie Yogaga on ring fingers.
Sally Hansen Double Duty as base and top coats.

Funky Monday

Dressed up for a cloudy Monday in a new piece of OwnMuse dress. It was a short, sassy dress made of light poly–linen (i think) and silk. I liked it immediately when I saw it on the rack. Guess it was the great mix of fabrics, the prim-and-properness of the long sleeves and cuffs juxtaposed with the short, uneven hem line that rocked this dress.

It went great with my new duo-tone nails.

Mondays are just so much more bearable with funky nails and happy dresses.

Lugging A Laptop

I found a shoulder tote (if there’s such a term) for my 12″ laptop at Charles & Keith recently.

See, I’d been living with a shoulder bag but after adding extra weight like umbrella and battery pack, it got too heavy and bulky. I realised that a bag with shorter straps may work better for me.

So far, this bag has been able to withstand a week of abuse. Let’s hope it stays strong!

CaMel Wear It?

Three Closettes out at a wedding banquet tonight in attention-grabbing Red, Cobalt Blue and colourful floral dresses wore camel-coloured shoes.

Yes, it’s the only colour that works for these outfits.

More of these shoes.

Platform slingbacks for the ankle-length dress.

Kitten heels for the knee-length 50s style Cobalt Blue dress.

Dressing up a 6 dollar buy

Chiffon blouse with cheery fashionista-in-action prints bought for a mere 150 Thai baht from a roadside vendor.

Paired with a blue pleated bubble skirt from Finland’s 2or+byyat.

Borrowed the full leather Coach classic leather Madison satchel in vermillion that was on the table.

Definitely gives the day’s ensemble a lift!

More of the Fashionistas and their lifestyles…

I am hearting those chunky boots / skates!

Flying without wings

but with the right shot of colour…

dressing for flights take a bit of time and effort.

yes, people, the pink umbrella, the lime green comfy cotton racerback and the skinny jeans were no accident.

we created the COLOURS for that shoot…

and then, we JUMPED!

one and only

People say that Bangkok is not just the land of smiles, but the land for shopaholics too. So you can imagine my excitement to unleash the much needed retail therapy when I was holidaying there last week. But alas! The shopaholic has failed her mission and I’mĀ embarrassed to say that I only came back with 1 skirt šŸ˜¦
